The International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) funds research for treatments and to find a cure for Rett Syndrome. The Foundation also works towards enhancing the overall quality of life for those living with Rett Syndrome by providing:

Key areas of the International Rett Syndrome Foundation are:

• Research - the IRSF helps accelerate, co-ordinate, cultivate and fund research which ultimately will produce a cure for Rett Syndrome. The IRSF also conducts research to develop treatments which enhance the people currently living with Rett syndrome.
Advocacy and Awareness - the foundation will advocate to raise awareness about people with Rett syndrome to organization and bodies concerned will become motivated to help the research efforts and individuals with Rett syndrome deal with their conditions on a day to day basis.
