About National Stuttering Association - NSA
The NSA, as it is collectively known, is a New York-based nonprofit organization
dedicated wholly to education and empowerment of children, teens, and adults who
stutter. We are an outstanding source of support and assistance for the
thousands of people who stutter, both in North America and all over the
world.
Every year, the NSA hosts an annual conference that brings
together people of diverse backgrounds and regions to help them embrace who they
are. Stuttering never has to stand in your way of accomplishing anything that
you wish for. At these conferences, we have numerous educational and
inspirational workshops, each one as unique at the next. Tailored toward the
different age groups, each of us can bring out the best in each other and help
us accept who we are, and realize that the goal of self-acceptance is very
possible! We also have great social activities, impromptu gatherings, all capped
off by a grand banquet and auction where we dance until the wee hours of the
morning.
