About Sister to Sister - STS

Founded in 2000, the Sister to Sister organization was set up to prevent heart disease among women. Work of Sister to Sister focuses on:

• Providing - free cardiac screenings to women to promote early detection and treatment of heart disease and related conditions
• Raising - awareness across the United States that heart disease is the number 1 killer of women in the US today
• Educating - women that living a healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce their risk of heart disease

Activities of the Sister to Sister Foundation include:

• Cardiac screening events
• Obesity prevention initiatives
• Screening and data collection programs
• Maintaining a cardiac risk database with data collected worldwide
• Pilot outreach programs
• Annual Heart Health Fairs - offering information, cardiac screenings with follow up counseling for women
