Tick Alert Week runs from 25 - 31 May and is designed to raise awareness of tick borne disease in the UK and Europe.
Tick Alert Week coincides with the Spring Half Term when warmer weather means more people head into the countryside and take holidays.
During Tick Alert Week information leaflets with a map showing risk areas, general advice, tick bite protection and disease symptoms will be available in outdoor retailers and GP surgeries and clinics across the country.
